We create environments where people discover a life-changing relationship with Jesus.

Our Values

  • SCRIPTURE IS OUR STARTING POINT

The Bible is the foundation of everything we do. We equip people to understand and live out God’s word.

  • PRAYER MAKES ANYTHING POSSIBLE

Everything we do is rooted in prayer. We pray together because we know God hears and responds to His People.

  • ONE INVITE CAN CHANGE A LIFE

We courageously invite, so that people can experience God’s presence.

  • PEOPLE ARE OUR PASSION

We are a safe place for people from all walks of life to belong.

  • GENEROSITY IS OUR JOY

Generosity grows our heart for others and impacts the community and world.

  • THE FUTURE IS OUR FOCUS

We are responsible to reach the next generation and release them to fulfill their God-given purpose.

  • SERVING TOGETHER IMPACTS LIVES

Using our gifts to serve others well brings glory to God.

At Evangel Temple, We Believe

  • We believe the Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind. God's Word is true, authoritative, and sufficient.

    2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21

  • We believe there is only One True God - revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, commonly known together as the Trinity.

    Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22

  • We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's Son, Jesus was both human and divine. Jesus Christ died as the sacrificial substitute to pay the penalty for sin. And He physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will one day physically return.

    Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 2:22; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Matthew 28:6, Acts 1:9, 1:11, 2:33

  • We believe that though originally good, man willingly fell to sin - ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

    Genesis 2:17, 3:1-6; Romans 5:12-19

  • Mankind's only hope of redemption is through faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentence, turning away from sin and putting your faith in Jesus. Being justified through faith, we become coheirs with Christ, receiving God's full acceptance and the gift of eternal life.

    Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15, 8:16-17; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 2:11-12, 3:5-7

  • Sanctification is not only a declaration that a believer is holy in God's sight but also a progressive, lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.

    Romans 6:1-13, 12:1-2; 1 Peter 1:15-16

  • We believe that Jesus is coming again for His Church in the future, at a date and time unknown to mankind. After the return of Christ, there will be final judgment and punishment of sin for those whose names are not written in the Book of Life. Those in Christ will enjoy eternal life with the Lord in Heaven.

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 20:11-15

  • We believe the Church is the body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption through the sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe the Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin.

    Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:42-47, 20:28

  • All believers receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit when they are spiritually born again. Subsequently, Christians can experience the baptism in the Holy Spirit that Jesus promised His disciples which brings power for Christian living and service to the Lord.

    Acts 1:8, 2:1-4; John 16:7-14

  • We believe all of the gifts of the Spirit as seen in scripture are in use today. These spiritual gifts are distributed according to God's will and enable believers to experience God's supernatural power today. The spiritual gifts equip the Body of Christ for ministry and we should seek them eagerly while realizing not all believers will experience every spiritual gift. Spiritual gifts should be used in a God-honoring and orderly way.

    1 Corinthians 12:1-11, 1 Corinthians 14

  • We believe that God still divinely heals those who are sick according to His purpose and plan. We should ask for healing and simultaneously trust God's sovereign plan.

    Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16

  • We believe that men and women of every ethnicity, age, and background are made in God's image and are meant to be loved and presented with God's good news.

    Genesis 1:27; Mark 12:31; Colossians 3:11

  • We believe the Bible clearly describes God's design for marriage. God intends marriage to be a lasting and committed relationship between one man and one woman. This bond is also a reflection of the lasting, committed relationship between Jesus and His Church.

    Genesis 2:23-24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31-32

  • Sex is a part of God's design for humanity and is intended to be enjoyed only within the framework of biblical marriage, between one natural-born man and one natural-born woman. Sex outside of biblical marriage is a sin. We believe gender is fixed based on biology and not fluid based on feelings.

    Genesis 1:27; Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 6:15-20, 7:1-4
